It was a long, dark and snowy December night. White snow has been covered the rooftops of the houses. The smoke went out from chimneys of the houses. The snow-storm which had been continuing all day long had already stored. The silence of the snow had spread everywhere. Yes, the best phrase expressing the situation of the weather was “the silence of the snow”…
Events in our story was happening a distant and small settlement.

The main character of our story is a bachelor man. He had come here abandoning the place where he lived. When came here he didn’t have any thoughts to return. In reality, that decision had been instantly given. Carried out with him: the clothes, a few books and disks… He had been late for bus terminal. If the bus hadn’t been late at that time, maybe he would have never attempted to that. It was seemed to him that the main cause for leaving the house was unhappiness. As it was said in the “Unbearable lightness of being” novel of Milan Kundera “A person who longs to leave the place where he lives is an unhappy person”. In the bus travel he was thinking about hardships that would meet. He was unaccustomed to the village life. He heard on the radio the “Green grass” song of Tom Waits by chance. Among these thoughts he suddenly remembered the girl he loved in the university years. He behaved the girl very jealous. At that time he wanted to show himself like gallant. When traveling he took an oath himself that he would never ever return.
…at the darkness of that night there was a light in only one house. Person who has come in another place was living in this house. The person was thinking girl he loved in the university years. After long years it occurred the second time. That time he couldn’t remember the face lines of the girl. He felt forgetting the face of the girl. It was 3:30. There was “Kar” novel of Orhan Pamuk got from settlement library on the table. A bachelor man was looking from window at the snow. He saw the reflection of the girl at the window. It was suddenly disappeared. “Green grass” in Cibelle performance was unexpectedly heard on the radio. It was still snowing….
